I recently stayed at Radisson Blu Bangalore, Outer Ring Road, and here is a detailed review of my experience in a Business Class room. I actually stayed in two different Business Class rooms during my visit, which I describe below.

Booking
- Revenue Rate: ~6,500 INR (Inc GST)
Like many business hotels in Bangalore, Radisson Blu is offering rates well below pre-pandemic levels. I redeemed InterMiles for this booking (valued around 0.35 INR per point) and booked a Business Class room with breakfast. I hoped for an upgrade to a Junior Suite as I hold Radisson Gold status through my Amex Platinum card, but the business lounge was closed at the time and upgrades were not provided complimentary.
Check-in & Lobby
The property has a sizeable lobby area. The main lobby is on the first floor, with a smaller reception on the ground floor. Check-in was smooth, but the staff declined my request for a complimentary upgrade. Paid upgrades were offered instead.
Room
My first allocation was a Business Class room. I asked about a welcome amenity such as fruit or cookies, but was told that because discounted rates were in effect, the amenity was not provided. The room itself felt fresh and tidy, but the large window had frosted glass, limiting any outside view.
I asked for a room change and was moved to a different Business Class room with a better view. Unfortunately, that room had several issues: stains on the headrest and rug, a faulty chair, and an unpleasant odor. I reported these problems and the staff addressed some of them, but the room still felt below the standard I expected.
Despite this, the comfortable couch and the attractive glass coffee table made the room more tolerable. I chose not to request another move because I was tired after traveling, but the experience highlighted inconsistency in housekeeping and maintenance.
Property
This is one of the larger hotels in the area, with a spacious basement car park (self-parking; valet was not available at the time). A notable design choice is having three main restaurants located on the same floor, adjacent to each other, which makes dining convenient.
Food
For dinner I ordered à la carte at the Chinese restaurant Shao, and for breakfast and lunch I visited Melange buffet. Both restaurants served flavorful and well-presented dishes. Service was attentive—on one occasion a staff member proactively replaced a pasta dish that I found slightly stale with a fresh, hot portion, which I appreciated.
Overall, the dining experience was a strong point of my stay. I also used offers tied to my IndusInd card via a dining platform to save around 30% on the bill during each visit.
Final Thoughts
- Cardexpert Rating: 4.2/5
Aside from the maintenance issues in the second room, the stay was pleasant. The food stood out as particularly good, and the hotel’s location in Marathahalli on the Outer Ring Road is convenient. During my stay occupancy was low, but on checkout day the hotel reached full capacity and I was asked to vacate by 12:30 PM.
It was a short, mostly enjoyable trip. I took advantage of available Amex offers where possible during local purchases. If you have stayed at hotels on Bangalore’s Outer Ring Road, feel free to share your experiences in the comments below.
