Milestone benefits on Axis Vistara Infinite Card:

The Infinite card awards milestone benefits as you reach specified annual spend thresholds on any purchases.

  1. Spend Rs. 1,00,000 – 10,000 CV Points
  2. Spend Rs. 2,50,000 – 1 Business Class ticket
  3. Spend Rs. 5,00,000 – 1 Business Class ticket
  4. Spend Rs. 7,50,000 – 1 Business Class ticket
  5. Ongoing earn rate: 6 CV Points for every Rs. 200 spent

Redemption of the complimentary tickets typically requires payment of taxes and surcharges (around Rs. 500 per ticket). Combining the welcome bonus with milestone awards, a cardholder spending around Rs. 7.5 lakh in a year would receive:

  • 3 Business Class tickets
  • 33,000 CV Points
  • CV Points can be redeemed for tickets or used to upgrade for better value

To estimate value, consider a domestic route such as BLR → DEL. Approximate valuation could be:

  • 3 Business Class tickets: INR 60,000
  • 3 Upgrade vouchers (if used): INR 30,000
  • 33,000 CV Points (redeemable value): INR 25,000
  • Estimated total value: INR 1,15,000 (~15% effective reward rate)

At this example value, the card delivers roughly a 15% return in travel value for Rs. 7.5 lakh of annual spending. Actual value varies by routes, demand-based fares and how you redeem points—upgrades often give higher value than simple ticket redemptions.

Note that Vistara’s Business Class fares are influenced by route demand rather than strict distance pricing. Some routes command higher fares depending on market demand.

Features of Axis Vistara Infinite Card:

  • CardExpert Rating: 5/5
  • Reward potential: Up to about 15% value back when measured as complimentary tickets and redemptions
  • Complimentary airport lounge access: 4 visits per quarter via Visa’s lounge access program; Club Vistara Gold membership also includes lounge benefits
  • Fuel surcharge waiver: Yes
  • Foreign exchange markup fee: 3.5% + service tax
  • Renewal fee waiver: None
  • Special features: Club Vistara Gold membership, travel insurance protection and complimentary golf access

While the Infinite card provides stronger benefits than the Platinum and Signature variants, it’s important to consider whether you will realistically reach the milestone spend levels (about Rs. 7.5 lakh) and whether the travel rewards match your preferences. If you value business-class experiences, lounge access and upgrades, the card can be highly rewarding. For those who rarely fly Business Class, the perceived value may be lower.

The Vistara network has expanded over time, increasing opportunities to redeem points domestically and, as the airline expands internationally, potentially for international redemptions in future. For frequent Vistara flyers and high spenders, the Infinite card is an attractive option.

Bottom line:

If you already fly Business Class on Vistara or can comfortably meet high annual spends, the Axis Vistara Infinite card is a strong value proposition. For others, assess your travel habits and whether lounge access, upgrades and milestone tickets align with your priorities before committing to the joining fee and annual costs.

  • Update: First-hand experiences with the card are available from cardholders who have shared their usage and impressions.
