This is my first spend-based offer since I activated an HDFC Bank credit card back in October 2017. The promotion appears to be highly personalised: some cardholders are given a choice of gift vouchers, while others receive BookMyShow vouchers automatically after hitting the specified spending target.
Below is a summary of the offers that arrived on HDFC credit cards held within my household (myself and my spouse).

- Duration: Spend between 1st May and 31st May 2019.

- Offer: Spend Rs. 5,000 on any HDFC Bank credit card and claim a Rs. 1,000 BookMyShow voucher.
- Duration: Spend between 5th May and 31st May 2019.
- Type: Spend-based / Personalised.
- Fulfilment: Vouchers delivered by 31 August 2019.
Observation: The higher the required spend, the larger the target amount set by the bank.
One notable point is the late arrival of these targeted offers. Although the promotions were valid for May 2019, I only received mine towards the end of the month. The start dates also vary between the two offers, which suggests the bank customises both the target amount and the active window when sending personalised promotions.
