I began my trip north last month on an Indigo flight to Jammu, en route to Katra for a visit to Vaishno Devi. My departure was from Terminal 1B at Mumbai Domestic Airport. Arriving about two hours before departure, I took the opportunity to visit both domestic departure lounges at Terminal 1B: The Good Times Bar and the Loyalty Lounge (the latter will be covered in a separate review).

Mumbai Airport Lounge – The Good Times Bar Ambience & Food
Complimentary access to this lounge is offered to select Mastercard and American Express cardholders. Effective 1st April 2017, following the closure of the Carnations and American Express lounges in Terminal 1C, Amex announced complimentary access at The Good Times Bar for Platinum Reserve cardholders (12 visits/year) and Platinum Travel cardholders (4 visits/year).
For some cobranded Amex cards issued by ICICI and IndusInd Bank, a nominal fee of Rs. 450 applies after any complimentary access allotment is used.
Buffet / Food at The Good Times Bar
Seating Area – The Good Times Bar Lounge
The lounge has a pub-like atmosphere, with alcoholic drinks available for purchase in a dedicated section. Since I visited around 9 a.m., the buffet offered a breakfast spread that included poha, idlis, uttapams, sandwiches, chicken sausages, boiled eggs, muffins, cakes and a selection of beverages.

Bar Area – The Good Times Bar
Compared with the Loyalty Lounge, The Good Times Bar felt less premium. The Loyalty Lounge offered better seating, fewer crowds, a wider food selection and a calmer atmosphere. That said, The Good Times Bar was clean, the food was tasty, and the staff were friendly.
The lounge could improve by adding more comfortable seating, increasing the number of charging points and expanding the variety of food on offer. Overall it remains a convenient option for domestic travelers seeking a casual lounge experience before departure.
