Yes Bank Credit Card: 2024 Spend-Based Rewards & Offers

When Yes Bank launched its credit card business, it was one of the more aggressive players in the market. For a time it even challenged established issuers with premium propositions and unusually large targeted deals.

For example, they once sent targeted promotions offering as much as 100,000 bonus points, an uncommon level of reward generosity from a bank of Yes Bank’s size.

After the bank’s well-known troubles, those marketing pushes slowed significantly. Tightened budgets and a cautious stance meant fewer eye-catching offers and less product activity over the following years.

In recent months, though, Yes Bank appears to be re-engaging. They’ve begun revamping older products like the Reserv Credit Card and have resumed targeted spend-based promotions.

I received targeted offers twice in the past six months on my Yes First Exclusive card. Below I share the most recent promotion that’s currently running and the prior one for comparison.

April 2024 Offer Details

This April promotion resembles the earlier targeted offers. The structure is straightforward: spend a specified amount within the offer window and receive bonus reward points. The exact thresholds are tailored dynamically based on a cardholder’s previous usage, so offers can differ between customers.

Jan 2024 Offer Details

The January promotion was typical of Yes Bank’s targeted offers: clear, simple and oriented around incremental reward points. For my card, it worked out to roughly a 2% uplift on top of the standard rewards, which is a useful boost on regular spending.

If similar targeted offers start appearing on higher-tier cards such as the Reserv or Marquee, the value could be substantially greater. For now, these campaigns show Yes Bank’s intent to reintroduce attractive, targeted incentives to win back cardholders’ attention.
