Axis Bank Insta Easy Credit Card Review: Features, Fees & Perks

Axis Insta Easy Credit Card is a secured credit card I used for many years. When I first received it, the card was gold; later Axis Bank changed the design to purple. The card was issued against my fixed deposit, and the credit limit was set at 80% of the FD amount. The bank took about two months to deliver the card—partly because the branch had very few credit card holders at the time and staff turnover meant delays in processing applications.

Axis Bank Insta Easy Credit Card Edge Rewards:

  • Earn 6 points on domestic spends for every Rs. 200 spent
  • Earn 12 points on international spends for every Rs. 200 spent

1 Edge Loyalty Reward Point is typically worth Rs. 0.20, though the exact value can vary slightly with different redemptions. Based on this valuation, the card offers roughly a 0.60% reward rate on domestic spends and about 1.2% on international spends. This is relatively low compared with many other credit cards, but I managed to accumulate points over time and redeemed them for Flipkart vouchers.

My Experience With Axis Bank Credit Card:

After I began using the card, I received frequent calls offering EMI conversion—approximately once every two months. If EMI or conversion features are important to you, other banks can be more competitive; in my experience, HDFC’s credit card EMI and loan options often have lower interest rates and occasional processing fee waivers.

Customer support at Axis Bank was generally prompt. On one occasion I emailed them and received a helpful response within two hours, which I appreciated.

Axis Insta Easy Credit Card Features:

  • Card Expert Rating: 2.5/5
  • Reward Rate: Approximately 0.60% (domestic) to 1.2% (international) via Edge loyalty points
  • Fuel Surcharge Waiver: 2.5% waiver on fuel transactions of at least Rs. 400 up to Rs. 4,000. Maximum benefit up to Rs. 400 per month
  • Foreign Exchange Markup Fee: 3.5% plus applicable service tax

This card represents a basic secured option, useful primarily for international transactions or for building credit history. Today, many debit cards also support overseas payments, so a dedicated credit card for international use is less essential for some users. I closed this card recently because of its low credit limit and limited benefits. From what I observed, the Axis Bank Platinum Credit Card offers similar features, possibly without the fixed deposit requirement.

Compared to competitors like HDFC, Axis Bank’s credit card lineup felt less competitive in terms of rewards and features. Still, this secured credit card helped me build my CIBIL score over four years, which is a primary benefit of cards issued against fixed deposits.
