HDFC Bank’s Global Value Program has quietly existed for nearly a decade as part of its suite of credit card benefits. Because the bank does not actively advertise it, many cardholders remain unaware of this useful perk.
The Global Value Program provides an additional 1% cashback on international transactions, credited directly to your credit card statement. This small boost can add up when you travel or shop on foreign websites. Below are the key details of the offer.
Offer Details
| Program Enrolment Fee | 199 INR + GST |
| Welcome Benefit | 500 Reward Points on first international transaction (first year only) |
| Key Benefit | 1% cashback on international transactions |
| Maximum Cashback | 1,000 INR per statement |
| Milestone Benefit | INR 2,000 voucher Spend requirement: INR 150,000 per year |
| Milestone Voucher Options | MakeMyTrip, ClearTrip, Yatra or EaseMyTrip |
The welcome benefit is credited within 60 days of your first international transaction after enrolling in the program.
For frequent international spenders, the program can be attractive: you could save up to around INR 14,000 a year (INR 12,000 via cashback plus a INR 2,000 milestone voucher) if your foreign currency spending is high.
Note: To receive the benefit, ensure you pay in the foreign currency rather than converting the amount to INR at the point of sale or payment gateway. The cashback also applies to foreign-currency transactions on international websites.

How to Register?
- Call HDFC Bank’s customer service to request enrolment.

You can also request activation by email, but calling is often simpler—especially for premium cardholders who have access to dedicated support lines.
Should You Enroll?
Yes—if you incur regular international spends, the Global Value Program is worth enrolling in. The extra 1% cashback increases your effective returns on foreign transactions and is straightforward to track since the amount is credited after statement generation.
