Amex EazyDiner: Earn 1,000 Bonus Points on ₹1,500+ Spend

American Express has launched a limited-time EazyDiner promotion for cardmembers who pay restaurant bills through PayEazy on the EazyDiner app. The offer includes bonus Membership Rewards points on qualifying spends. Below are the specifics, eligibility and key terms to help you decide whether to use it.

Offer Details

  • Offer 1: Earn 1,000 Bonus Membership Rewards points on a minimum spend of INR 1,500 or more on the EazyDiner app when paying with PayEazy. This benefit is limited to the American Express Platinum Charge Card.
  • Offer 2: Earn 500 Bonus Membership Rewards points on a minimum spend of INR 1,500 or more on the EazyDiner app when paying with PayEazy. Eligible cards include the Amex Platinum Travel Credit Card, MRCC, Gold Charge Card, and Smart Earn Credit Card.
  • Offer Period: 15 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.
  • The offer can be availed a maximum of three times per card account during the offer period. This cap includes supplementary cards.

The reward levels make this most attractive for Platinum Charge Cardholders, while holders of other eligible cards receive a modest bonus. The three-times-per-account cap, which counts supplementary cards together, is fairly restrictive. Note that if you hold multiple primary Amex cards, you may be able to use the offer up to three times on each primary account separately. It is also notable that Amex Reserve is excluded from this promotion.

Terms & conditions

  1. Bonus Membership Rewards points are awarded only for payments categorized as Eating Out on the EazyDiner app and paid using PayEazy.
  2. The Bonus Membership Rewards points will be credited to the cardmember’s account within seven working days from the date of the qualifying transaction.
  3. The offer applies at all restaurants that accept PayEazy payments via the EazyDiner app.
  4. Refer to the official American Express terms for full details and any exclusions.

Final Thoughts

EazyDiner continues to be the focus of attractive dining promotions, and this Amex offer adds another option for cardmembers. Compared with some competing offers — for example, an IndusInd promotion that provided an instant discount on lower minimum spends — the Amex deal is less generous for non-Platinum cards. Platinum Charge Cardholders receive the best value here, but even then the 1,000-point reward requires a relatively high minimum spend and the limited redemption frequency reduces overall value.

If you frequently use EazyDiner and hold an eligible Amex card, the offer can still be worthwhile for selected transactions. Consider the minimum spend threshold, the number of times you expect to use the offer, and whether an alternate bank card has a better immediate discount or lower spend requirement before deciding which promotion to use.
