Goa Domestic Airport Lounge Review: Facilities, Food & Tips

Update: This lounge is now closed & a new one is open. Check out the new lounge here: Goa Airport Lounge – Good Times Bar Review

On my return trip from Goa to Bangalore, my friend and I decided to visit the Goa Port lounge to grab a bite and rest for a while. After a long wait at the checked baggage counters, we were exhausted and hungry, and I was eager for something to eat and a refreshing drink to cover lunch.

The domestic terminal at Goa Airport was extremely crowded—more crowded than I’ve ever seen, even compared to busy railway stations. Most seats were taken and the noise level was high. Eventually we located the lounge and went inside.

My Experience at Goa Port Lounge (Domestic):

To be clear, this is not a traditional airport lounge. It functions primarily as a restaurant that allows complimentary access to certain cardholders. There are several restaurant tables and chairs, and only three or four small sofa sets intended to offer a lounge-like feel. Those sofas accommodate very few people, so if you expect a quiet, private lounge environment, you’ll likely be disappointed.

Unlike many dedicated lounges, there is no Wi‑Fi and the complimentary offering is limited to one snack and one drink. For Priority Pass members who are used to more generous benefits, this is a letdown.

I had accidentally left my Priority Pass card at home and mentioned the membership number to the staff to see if they could help. The manager at the desk barely acknowledged me and showed no interest in assisting. The hospitality felt indifferent and unwelcoming. Given that this is essentially the only sit-down dining option in that area of the terminal, the restaurant appears to operate with little concern for customer service.

My friend used a Mastercard benefit and received a complimentary pizza and canned juice. I paid for a burger. The burger and pizza were decent, though the juice was mediocre. At least they provide a complimentary bottle of water. Aside from that, don’t expect the amenities typical of a proper lounge. Below are a few photos.

Facilities at Goa Port Lounge:

  • Wi‑Fi: No
  • Food: Yes, but limited—one snack and one drink as complimentary items
  • Workstation: No
  • Ambiance: Crowded and noisy; more like a restaurant than a lounge
  • Charging Stations: No
  • Complimentary Access: Accepted on many Indian Mastercards, Priority Pass, and Diners cards
  • CardExpert Lounge Rating: 2/5

In summary, this venue serves as a convenient place to eat if you’re hungry, but it doesn’t meet the expectations of a dedicated airport lounge. If you’re seeking quiet, workspace, Wi‑Fi, or a fuller complimentary menu, this won’t deliver. It was a disappointment compared with other lounges I’ve used, such as the Bangalore Plaza Premium Lounge, and felt more like a busy restaurant with limited seating and minimal service.
