IndusInd Bank has launched its Diwali offers for 2023. This year there are three distinct promotions, though they are not as generous as in previous years. Below is a clear summary of the Diwali offers available on IndusInd credit cards for 2023.

Rewardz Festival
The targeted spend thresholds for IndusInd’s Rewardz Festival this year are set very high, making them difficult for many cardholders to meet. Below is an example of a promotion triggered on a card with an annual spend of about INR 200,000.
- Target A: Spend X to receive 2X Reward Points
- Target B: Spend Y to receive 3X Reward Points
- Target C: Spend Z to receive 5X Reward Points
- Maximum Bonus: 10,000 bonus points (regular points are not counted toward this cap)

Note: I did not receive any targeted Rewardz Festival offers, most likely because my active cards are co-branded and therefore were not eligible.
Dhanteras with 2X Rewards
IndusInd introduced a Dhanteras-specific reward this year that mirrors offers previously seen on other banks: enhanced rewards for gold and jewellery purchases on the festival date.
- Offer: 2X reward points on gold and jewellery purchases on 10 November 2023
- Minimum spend required: INR 25,000
- Maximum cap: 2,500 reward points

A practical drawback was the timing: the offer was communicated on the same day it applied, which limits planning time for cardholders. It would be more useful if such offers were announced at least a day or two beforehand.
Best Debutant
New cardholders are often excluded from targeted promotions due to a lack of spending history. To include recently opened accounts, IndusInd introduced a separate incentive aimed at customers with new cards.

Although the qualifying spends and thresholds are steeper this year, it’s positive to see the return of 2x/3x/5x reward multipliers. These multipliers were absent in the 2022 Rewardz Festival.
