  • Renewal fee: Can be waived if you spend ₹1,00,000 or more in the first year

  • 1% fuel surcharge waiver

Is it worth it?

The Millennia credit card offers a clean, minimalistic design and a competitive 2.5% cashback on online spends (transactions above ₹2,000), which can replace other basic cashback cards for many users. The card does include an earnings cap of Rs. 750 per month for cashback in this category, which translates to roughly ₹30,000 of monthly spend to hit the ceiling. That cap is modest but will suit most regular cardholders.

Overall, the card presents a solid offering for its target segment; real-world experience will show how the rewards and redemption process perform in daily use.

Bottom line

Millennia cards offer decent value for millennials and entry-level cardholders, though the relatively low monthly cashback cap is a limitation. If you already hold HDFC’s super-premium cards such as Infinia or Diners Black, the Millennia card is unlikely to be compelling. However, for holders of basic cards like Regalia First or other lower-tier products who want stronger returns on online spending, Millennia can be a useful upgrade.

Note that Millennia cards do not include international lounge access, so they are not directly comparable to the Regalia or premium HDFC cards in that respect. If you have separate cards that provide international lounge access or you cannot upgrade to HDFC’s top-tier products, Millennia can still be a good fit for improving online cashback.
