As I mentioned in my previous review of the SBI Air India Signature Credit Card, I’m ready to play with points and miles, so I applied for the card. Approval took some time, but the card was finally approved. When the courier arrived I opened it immediately and found a few pleasant surprises along with the shiny card.
First surprise: the package included a larger, personalized card holder with my name on it, similar to the one I received earlier with my SBI Signature card, but more practical. Unlike the smaller holder I got before, this version comfortably fits cards and boarding passes, making it convenient for travel.

The card itself has a subtle shine and a matte finish that feels different from typical plastic coatings — I liked the look and feel.
Air India Business Class Upgrade Voucher:
Second surprise: the card holder included a domestic Air India business class upgrade voucher and a catalog. I’ll probably use the voucher on a long-distance domestic flight to maximize its value.
The listed card benefits didn’t mention any upgrade voucher, so I’m not sure whether this was a one-off or a common inclusion. Either way, I’m looking forward to trying business class soon.

The card also came with Flying Returns membership details, and my Air India frequent flyer number is embossed on the front of the card below my name.

Note: The Air India Flying Returns membership was activated only after 15 days from the date I received the SBI card. This delay wasn’t mentioned anywhere, and customer care staff were initially unaware until I requested escalation.
SBI cards have become my preference lately. Their support and operational systems are efficient, and they tend to resolve issues faster than some competitors.
