Upgrading the Card
I previously held IndusInd Pinnacle and IndusInd Iconia credit cards. Over time, the American Express offers on Iconia declined, so I closed that account after redeeming points and had the limit transferred to Pinnacle. After requesting a limit enhancement on Pinnacle, the bank processed an upgrade to the Indulge card.
The upgrade required a few coordinated steps and conversations with bank staff. Relationship managers may not always be familiar with the internal process, but they can usually connect you to the person who handles upgrades. Persistence and talking to the right representative helps move things along.
Unboxing
The Indulge welcome kit arrives in a well-presented box. Inside, the card, a product catalog and a welcome letter sit on a white velvet lining that gives a premium feel. Unlike some other super-premium cards, the Indulge card does not come in a separate rigid housing, but the overall presentation still feels upscale.
Below are photos from the unboxing to show the outer packaging, the catalog and the card itself.
Customer Support
The bank’s video branch has been the most convenient way to resolve credit card queries, and I’ve used it several times. Lately, however, video branch lines are frequently busy, making it harder to connect. When that happens, the standard support line and IVR is the fallback option.
A practical shortcut I use is calling the Virtual Relationship Manager (Virtual RM) direct line. If you receive calls from a Virtual RM, calling that number back and asking to be connected to the cards team cuts out much of the IVR wait. This route is not guaranteed for every customer, but it’s a useful workaround for those who have access to a Virtual RM number.
Executives on the Virtual RM line often handle current and savings accounts and are reasonably knowledgeable. This line isn’t available 24/7 and can also get busy, but it has been more responsive than the video branch in my experience.
Note that some card-specific direct-connect options may not work reliably for everyone, so having multiple contact methods helps.
Bottomline
Overall, the Indulge card delivers the premium benefits it promises and the unboxing feels special. The main area for improvement is premium-level customer support — faster, more consistent phone and email responses would enhance the ownership experience.
For context, some banks offer notably quick email support; exceptional responsiveness from card issuers makes a real difference when issues arise. That aside, the card’s presentation and the feel of holding a card plated with gold make it a memorable product to carry.
