Complimentary spa sessions are one of the best perks of flying Thai Airways Business or First Class from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). On a recent trip from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City in Thai Business Class, I took advantage of the offer. After spending time in the Royal Silk Lounge, I headed across to the Royal Orchid Spa to see what it offered.

Location
The Royal Orchid Spa sits directly opposite one of the Royal Silk Lounge entrances. If you plan to visit during a connection, follow the airport signboards—Suvarnabhumi is large, and clear directions help save time.
Getting Access
Access is reserved for Thai Airways Business and First Class passengers. First Class guests receive up to 60 minutes of complimentary treatment, while Business Class passengers are entitled to up to 30 minutes.

Ambience
On arrival you’ll find a welcoming reception with plenty of seating, giving the place the feel of a compact lounge combined with a spa. The décor uses warm wood tones and soft lighting, creating a calm, upscale atmosphere appropriate for premium passengers.
Facilities are well maintained; the restrooms have a premium hotel standard and the toiletries are notably soft and high quality. Wet face towels are available in the restroom, which is a thoughtful touch after a long flight or before boarding.

Service
The spa offers a limited but well-executed menu typical of airport spas. Guests choose between two complimentary treatments: neck & shoulder massage or foot reflexology.
I chose the neck and shoulder treatment and found it exceptional. The therapist applied professional technique and pressure, and the 30 minutes felt completely restorative. It was one of the most refreshing short spa sessions I’ve experienced—enough to relax and recharge before a flight.
Snacks & Drinks
Near the spa area there is a small selection of snacks and cold beverages. I tried a few iced tea options that were pleasant and refreshing. Packaged snacks are also available if you need a light bite before heading to your gate.

Bottomline
The Royal Orchid Spa at Bangkok Airport stands out as one of the best airport spas I’ve visited. The setting is comfortable and refined, service is professional, and the complimentary treatments provide genuine relaxation. The primary limitation is access—it’s only available to Thai Airways premium-cabin passengers—so repeat visits depend on future travel plans in those cabins.
