The reversal process may complete within about 120 days from issuance, including billing and processing time.

Design

Axis Vistara Signature Credit Card (New Design)

The current card design is clean and presentable. It replaced an earlier bluish design and appears well finished in person.

Rewards

SPEND TYPE CV POINTS REWARD RATE
Regular Spends 4 RP / 200 INR 1.5% – 2%
  • 1 CV Point = 0.75 INR to 1 INR (depending on redemption)
  • CV Points Expiry: 3 Years

CV points earned on regular spending add useful value, though the card’s main strength remains the milestone vouchers. In typical conditions I value CV points at around 0.75 INR each, but during periods of high fares a point can effectively be worth up to 1 INR or more for certain redemptions.

Milestone Rewards

SPEND MILESTONE BENEFIT SAVINGS % (MS BENEFIT + REWARDS) SAVINGS (CUMULATIVE)
75,000 3,000 CV Points 4% + 2% 6%
1.5 Lakhs 1 PE Voucher 5.3% + 2% 9.3%
3 Lakhs 1 PE Voucher 5.3% + 2% 8.3%
4.5 Lakhs 1 PE Voucher 5.3% + 2% 8%
9 Lakhs 1 PE Voucher 1.8% + 2% 5.9%
  • 1 PE (Premium Economy) Voucher Value: ~8,000 INR
  • 1 CV Point Value: 1 INR (used as an average for calculations)

The spend-linked milestone system is the card’s most valuable feature. Depending on how much you spend, milestone vouchers can deliver roughly 5% value or more. When combined with regular CV point earnings, the effective return on spending can reach the levels shown in the table, with the highest combined returns typically realized up to about 4.5 lakh annual spends.

Voucher Redemption

  • Redemption type: Domestic only (India)
  • Voucher Validity: 9 months (6 months + 3 months)
  • Applicable taxes on redemption: 400–1,000 INR per ticket

Voucher redemption rules are consistent across Vistara co-branded Axis cards. Vouchers are valid for domestic flights only, have a limited validity window, and require payment of applicable taxes when redeeming a ticket.

Vistara Silver Membership

The card grants Vistara Silver status, which includes:

  1. One Class Upgrade Voucher (1 voucher)
  2. Additional baggage allowance (+5 kg)

These perks add comfort and real monetary value, especially if you fly often. Upgrade vouchers can be particularly valuable, though they must be used before expiry and are most useful on less-busy sectors where business-class seats are available.

Airport Lounge Access

ACCESS TYPE VIA LIMIT GUEST ACCESS
Domestic Lounge Access Visa (Signature) 2/Qtr

The card includes Visa Signature domestic lounge access—typically two visits per quarter—allowing you to enjoy lounge facilities during domestic travel without separate lounge memberships.

Golf Benefit

  • Complimentary Limit: 3 rounds (games/lessons) per year

If you play golf, the complimentary rounds can offer good value. Axis’s golf booking system is generally straightforward and user-friendly.

My Experience

Vistara premium economy food – veg

I have used Vistara co-branded Axis cards for several years and find the airline experience consistently good. I’ve redeemed Premium Economy vouchers and occasionally upgraded to Business using upgrade vouchers or at the airport when seats were available. Upgrades work best when travel is flexible and the sector isn’t heavily booked. Note that you cannot upgrade a ticket that was issued entirely with points using additional points.

Eligibility

  • Annual Income: 6 Lakhs+
  • Existing Credit Card limit: ~1 Lakh (for card-to-card applications)

Eligibility is straightforward: meeting either the income or existing card limit condition typically suffices. If you need help understanding Axis Bank card onboarding, look for detailed beginner guides that explain required documents and application tips.

How to Apply?

You can apply online through Axis Bank’s application portal. Approvals often arrive within a week, with card delivery shortly after. You do not need an Axis savings account to hold an Axis credit card. If offered, complete VKYC promptly to avoid delays. If your application stalls for more than 10 days, contact the card support channel provided during application.

Bottomline

  • Cardexpert Rating: 5/5

The Axis Vistara Signature Credit Card delivers excellent value for Vistara flyers, with combined milestone benefits and CV points producing attractive effective returns—especially up to the 4.5 lakh spend milestone. With the current first-year fee waiver, it represents a particularly strong opportunity.

If you qualify for the Axis Vistara Infinite card, consider it as well: it provides business-class vouchers, which many travelers may prefer over Premium Economy. For regular Vistara flyers who want reliable savings on domestic premium travel, the Signature card is a solid choice.
