The offer is simple: spend at least ₹5,000 on utility payments during the campaign period and receive 5% cashback, capped at ₹500. For example, a ₹5,000 bill earns ₹250 cashback, while a ₹10,000 spend reaches the maximum ₹500 reward.
Cashback will be credited by 30 Nov 2025. Qualification relies on the merchant category code (MCC), so transactions processed by bill-pay apps may not qualify if the app does not pass the correct MCC to the card network.
The ₹500 cap limits value for high spenders. The offer is useful for routine billing, but those with larger utility outlays will reach the cap quickly. A higher cap, such as ₹1,000, would significantly increase appeal.
Final Thoughts
BOBCARD continues to introduce frequent short-term promotions. In August 2025 they ran a flat 1% cashback offer, and this September promotion targets utility payments with 5% back. With the festive season approaching in October, further offers are likely.
