Fairfield by Marriott Coimbatore is a mid-scale business hotel located just a few hundred meters from Coimbatore International Airport (CJB). It is comparable to Aloft Coimbatore in many respects, but its main advantage is the close proximity to the airport. I stayed at the property in late 2018; below is a concise review of my experience.

Booking
- Revenue Rate: Approximately Rs. 5,000 per night
- I Paid: 6,000 Marriott Points (PointSavers)
I booked a night for 6,000 points under a PointSavers rate; the regular award rate for this Category 1 property is usually around 7,500 points per night. The hotel’s location, just a short walk from the airport, makes it ideal for quick layovers. Some packages also include a one-way airport drop.
Check-in & Lobby
Check-in was efficient and the staff informed me I had been assigned a garden-view room. The garden itself is modest; the view mainly overlooks the hotel entrance and the driveway, so you can watch vehicles arrive and depart.
The Room
The room was compact, similar to many Fairfield properties. The space felt tight for the rate the hotel commands, and I would have preferred a larger room. There were no suites available to upgrade to during my stay. Despite the limited space, the hotel functions well as a practical business stopover.

Food @ Restaurant
My award booking did not include breakfast, so I had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, Kovai Kitchen. Post-merger changes can affect breakfast benefits on award stays at several brands. Fortunately, breakfast at this hotel was affordable—under Rs. 500—and well prepared. The restaurant is appropriate for the property’s scale, and the food was tasty with attentive service.

Service
Service is the standout feature of this hotel. Although the rooms are compact, the staff’s attentive approach reminded me of higher-end properties. Restaurant staff were proactive and helpful, and someone collected feedback after meals. The check-out experience was especially memorable: the front desk staff handled departure with energy and warmth, engaging like a welcoming host. It was difficult to tell whether this level of care came purely from the staff’s natural hospitality or from strong management training—but either way, it made a positive difference to the stay.
Bottom Line
Fairfield by Marriott Coimbatore is a top choice for travelers needing a convenient stay near Coimbatore Airport. If you can book the PointSavers rate of 6,000 points, the property offers excellent value. In this price and category range, Fairfield stands out for its location, breakfast affordability, and service. Aloft may offer a more striking interior and lobby area, but Fairfield wins on convenience and overall practicality.
- Cardexpert Rating: 4.5/5
My stay was made possible by transferring American Express Membership Rewards points to Marriott at a 1:1 ratio, which can increase the value of MR points compared with other redemption options. This is one of several strategies I use to maximize point value.
