It’s been a while since I posted — I was busy with work and recently visited the GVK Business Class Lounge during a trip to Mumbai. The lounge is located in Mumbai Airport Terminal 2 and access is generally restricted to domestic business-class passengers.

If you’re traveling economy, nearby options include the TFS Travel Club Lounge opposite this facility. Passengers departing from Terminal 1 can consider the Loyalty Lounge or the Good Times Bar. I had visited T2 before but hadn’t had a chance to use the GVK lounge until I received a Jet Airways Premiere (business class) upgrade on this trip, which allowed me entry.
Mumbai GVK Lounge Experience
Check-in:
Check-in took only a couple of minutes — staff verified my ticket by phone before allowing entry. I was surprised by how busy the dining area was, given the lounge is reserved for business-class passengers. What stood out was the professional crowd: many guests were in suits and business attire, creating a formal, executive atmosphere.
Seating and interiors:
The lounge is spacious and designed to handle the traffic at Terminal 2. It offers a dedicated lounge area, a bar, and a dining section with a variety of seating, including small and high stools that overlook the tarmac. The interiors feel modern and luxurious. From certain seating areas you can watch arriving aircraft approach the terminal, which makes for pleasant plane spotting while you dine.

Food & Drinks:
The lounge offers a wide selection similar to a four-star hotel buffet: chaat, soups, starters, main-course buffet items and desserts. I tried sev puri, dahi puri and bhel puri — they were excellent and among the highlights for me. I then sampled starters and main-course dishes, all of which were well prepared. There’s also a full range of beverages including soft drinks, tea and coffee, so you have plenty of choices.

Lounge service:
Service stood out during my visit. Staff were attentive, polite and quick to assist with requests. Compared with other domestic lounges I’ve used, the service here was consistently better, which contributed to a relaxed and premium experience.
Based on my visits to several domestic lounges, I would rate the GVK Business Class Lounge among the best in India for domestic travel.

Overall, the GVK Business Class Lounge at Mumbai Terminal 2 is a comfortable, well-appointed place to spend a couple of hours before a flight. With extensive food options, attentive service and refined interiors, it’s an excellent option for business-class travelers departing from or transiting through Mumbai.
