Ever since I flew Jet Airways Business Class (domestic), I’ve been hooked and wanted to fly that cabin again. After that experience I started prioritizing ICICI Jet Sapphiro (Amex), one of the better Jet Airways co-branded cards, and looked for ways to accumulate more JPMiles.
My HDFC Business Regalia had been sitting unused after its devaluation in November 2016, so I upgraded it to the Jet Privilege HDFC Bank World Credit Card. The upgrade was free and about 86% of my existing points were converted to JPMiles.

If you apply for the card for the first time, you may be eligible for a first-year fee waiver by choosing one of the available cross-sell offers (PayZapp activation, add-on cards, etc.) at the time of application.
Welcome Bonus on Jet Privilege HDFC Bank World Credit Card
Joining fee: Rs. 2,500 + GST (may be waived on PayZapp activation)
Welcome Bonus:
- One complimentary base fare waiver on a Jet Airways domestic ticket (offered for paid cards).
- Discount voucher worth INR 750 for booking a return domestic ticket (offered for paid cards).
- 3,750 bonus JPMiles on the first swipe of your card within 90 days of card setup (revised from Oct 1, 2017).

While the ICICI Jet Sapphiro (Amex) offers a strong earn rate from my perspective, it has an upper cap that limits accumulation, so holding a secondary card like the HDFC Jet Privilege World makes sense to keep earning JPMiles. Another practical advantage is better merchant acceptance since the HDFC card runs on the MasterCard network.
JPMiles transfer speed is another notable difference: ICICI typically posts JPMiles monthly on statement generation and may add another ~15 days before they appear, whereas HDFC usually transfers JPMiles within about a week of posting. That speed is a clear plus.
Bottom Line
If your spends are moderate and you prefer collecting JPMiles instead of bank reward points, the HDFC JetPrivilege World Credit Card is one of the better Jet co-branded options. The ability to earn JetPrivilege Tier Points is a major benefit, making it easier to progress through the tiers and enjoy additional perks.
If you can spend more or want a higher JPMiles earn rate, consider upgrading to a premium Jet co-branded card such as the HDFC Jet Diners Credit Card, which offers stronger JPMiles accrual. Acceptance of Diners cards can be more limited, so weigh that factor. I may consider that upgrade if I start flying more frequently.
The HDFC Bank Jet Privilege World Credit Card also stands out for its attractive design and solid combination of benefits for frequent Jet flyers. If you hold any Jet cards, share your experience in the comments—card choice often depends on spending patterns and travel frequency.
