Kolkata Airport currently operates a single terminal serving both domestic and international flights. Within that terminal there are two lounges: a regular lounge and a premium lounge. This review covers the regular Travel Club lounge, which is accessible to many travellers through common credit and debit card programs.

Overview
| Type | Regular Airport Lounge |
| Card accepted | Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club & many more |
| Location | Follow lounge signboard |
| Plug points | Yes |
| Ambiance | Good interiors but mostly crowded |
| Food options | Decent food spread |
If you hold a Priority Pass through a top-tier card, consider the nearby Irish House premium lounge instead. The Travel Club lounge is frequently crowded, so the premium option often provides a more comfortable experience when available.
Check-in
On my visit I waited around 15 minutes in the queue. The lounge operates two check-in counters and the line tends to stay steady for long periods. Delays are commonly caused by guests attempting entry with ineligible cards, then switching cards at the counter, which prolongs processing time.
Most mainstream credit and debit cards are accepted here. Staff verify eligibility at the desk, so having card details and any membership ready speeds up entry.
Seating and Interiors
The lounge is reasonably sized but struggles to handle peak traffic. During my visit occupancy reached about 90%, so the space felt noisy and crowded. Seating options are adequate, and the interiors are pleasant when the lounge is less busy, but the frequent high footfall makes the area feel cramped at times.
If a calmer environment is important, you may prefer other lounges with lower occupancy. The high noise level here is comparable to other busy airport lounges in major cities.
Food
The food spread is decent, offering a selection of snacks, fruits and desserts. There is also a live food station, which appeared to handle simple hot items such as omelettes. Portions and variety are satisfactory for a quick pre-flight bite, though this is not a full-service dining experience.
Bottomline
- Cardexpert Rating: 3.9/5
The Travel Club Lounge by TFS at Kolkata airport meets the needs of travellers looking for a quick snack, a place to charge devices and a short rest before departure. The lounge’s main drawback is crowding, which affects comfort and quiet.
If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, keep your visit brief or, when possible, use the nearby premium Irish House lounge, located to the left of the Travel Club. That option typically provides a more comfortable experience for those with access.
