I received a complimentary MMTDOUBLEBLACK membership for the first year through the MMT ICICI Visa Signature Credit Card.
- The standard annual fee for this membership is ₹1,499 per year (since launch).
Occasionally, MakeMyTrip offers the membership at a discounted price—sometimes ₹999 during limited promotions, especially to holders of partner credit cards. In past offers, certain premium cardholders even received full cashback on the fee.
Key advantages:
- Covers cancellations for any two domestic flights plus any two domestic hotel bookings (the member must be a traveler to claim benefits).
- The annual membership covers the member plus one co-traveler for up to two flight cancellations.
- Includes coverage for two hotel cancellations (separate bookings). While many hotels now offer refundable rates, this benefit can be useful when choosing cheaper non‑refundable options.
- Cancellations are eligible up to 24 hours before flight departure or hotel check-in.
- My Cash can be used without restrictions for bookings or voucher redemptions and does not expire.
- If you make no claims in a membership year, 50% of the booking amount is credited back to your My Cash wallet as a bonus — a welcome addition introduced after the initial edition.
Limitations:
- Refunds on cancellations are issued as MMT My Cash only, not as bank transfers.
- If you book multiple hotel rooms in a single reservation, only one room per booking is eligible for refund upon cancellation.
- Refunded My Cash cannot be transferred to a bank account, credit card, or debit card.
- Multi-city flight bookings are not eligible for coverage.
- Coverage applies only to economy-class bookings; premium economy or business class are excluded.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of departure or check-in are not covered.
Bottomline
Unlike MMTBLACK—which can remain active for life once enrolled—MMTDOUBLEBLACK is an annual subscription that must be renewed based on the member’s needs.
