After a disappointing experience at the Hyderabad airport transit hotel, I decided to try the other Plaza Premium Lounge located in the airport’s domestic departure area. Both facilities are managed by the Plaza Premium network, the world’s largest independent airport lounge operator.
Plaza Premium Lounge Hyderabad Domestic Terminal
My Experience at Plaza Premium Lounge – Hyderabad Domestic Departure:
The lounge is located one floor down from the departure hall; we took the lift to reach it. My two friends and I gained access using Diners Club, Mastercard and Priority Pass credentials. When we arrived it was very crowded — around 9 PM, during dinner time — and finding seats for three of us proved difficult. The lounge also features an attached bar.

I started with a corn soup that was pleasant, then moved on to the main course, which included biryani and rice. The Hyderabadi biryani served here was particularly memorable — one of the best I’ve had in a lounge. Overall the food was tasty, and the staff were attentive. A staff member named Mr. Rahul was especially helpful, assisting with Wi‑Fi access and other requests.

In summary, this Plaza Premium Lounge offers good food, reliable service and a pleasant environment even during peak hours. The main downside is that the lounge is in a relatively open area, so noise from the departure hall can be noticeable. Despite that, it stands out for its food and attentive staff, making it one of the better airport lounges I’ve visited.
