Plaza Premium Lounge Review: Delhi T3 Domestic Terminal

I visited Delhi recently and booked Air India mainly to experience the business class lounge at Delhi T3 Terminal Domestic Departure and to qualify for miles redemption on Air India flights. Unfortunately, the business class cabin was full and I did not receive the upgrade, so I decided to try the nearby Plaza Premium Lounge instead.

Note: If you are looking for the lounge at Delhi T1 Terminal Domestic Departure, I have a separate review.

Delhi Airport Lounge Access Experience:

At the reception I first presented a Visa Signature card for complimentary access, but was told the machine was down. I then showed my Diners Black card. The staff verified my name against the boarding pass and admitted me without swiping or recording the card number. It seemed the swipe terminals were not working, and for reasons I couldn’t determine Visa cards were initially given lower priority.

The lounge is spacious and divided into several zones including a main seating area, a dining section and a quieter reading/chat area. It felt comfortable and well laid out. Below are some photos showing different parts of the lounge:

I headed straight for the food area. There was a good spread of starters, cereals and boiled eggs. A live counter prepared omelets and dosa on request. I was running on very little sleep that morning, so I only sampled a few items and missed taking more food photos.

The lounge also has a chat section, though it was quiet in the morning. I tried a cup of the masala chai — it was flavorful. In general I tend to taste items while traveling rather than having full meals, but the selection here catered well to both light and more substantial appetites.

Facilities at Plaza Premium Lounge at Delhi Airport (T3 Domestic):

  • Wifi: Yes, reliable and fast.
  • Food: Yes, a varied buffet and live counter.
  • Ambiance: Plush, spacious interiors (can get crowded at peak times).
  • Recharge Station: Yes, power outlets available.
  • Complimentary Access on: Priority Pass, Diners Club, Visa and several MasterCard programs.
  • CardExpert Lounge Rating: 4/5

Overall, the Plaza Premium Lounge at Delhi T3 is a comfortable and well-equipped facility that meets most traveler needs. It ranks among the better domestic lounges I have visited in India and compares favorably with the above-ground lounge in Bangalore, though it does not offer recliner seats, which I prefer for longer waits. Everything else—food, seating options, and connectivity—was good, and I would visit this lounge again on future trips.
