I booked a base-category Superior Room using Taj Epicure membership benefits for three complimentary nights. The stay comprised two nights credited via an AU Ivy card membership and one night via an ICICI Emeralde Private Metal card membership. Before arrival I requested an upgrade and was pleasantly surprised to receive a two-level upgrade to a larger Grand Luxury/Premium Indulgence room with a bathtub for all three nights.

Arrival at Taj Dal View is marked by warm, traditional welcomes. On check-in we were greeted with rose petals, an arti ceremony, and rituals to ward off the evil eye. While the reception formalities were completed, staff served a fragrant local welcome drink, Kahwa.
Breakfast is complimentary for two adults and up to two children under 12. The buffet offers a decent spread with live South Indian counters and a variety of options. Table service throughout the dining outlets was attentive and professional.

Taj Dal View celebrates major festivals—Diwali, Eid and Christmas—with elaborate decorations, special amenities and festive events. During my stay on Diwali, the hotel hosted evening hi-tea followed by a fireworks display and special festive arrangements throughout the property.
The staff demonstrated prompt and caring service when a family member sustained a minor burn. The general manager and team provided immediate first aid, ice packs and attentive follow-up. On checkout day, when my son fell ill, the hotel arranged a doctor consultation, supplied a quality digital thermometer and packed khichdi for our journey at no extra cost.
Housekeeping and service across departments were consistently professional, reinforcing the hotel’s reputation for warm and reliable hospitality.
