Standard Chartered has been issuing the Landmark Rewards credit card as a complimentary product for many customers. With the partnership between Standard Chartered and the Landmark Group ending, the bank is transitioning Landmark Rewards cardholders to the new Digismart Credit Card, Standard Chartered’s entry-level offering.

Good news for affected cardholders: the joining fee for Digismart is being waived for the first year. Below is the communication Standard Chartered sent to customers explaining the transition.
Dear Client,
Thank you for banking with Standard Chartered Bank.
You are currently using the Standard Chartered Landmark Rewards credit card, which was issued in partnership with the Landmark Group.
We wish to inform you that our association with Landmark will end on 29 February 2020. Your Landmark Rewards card will remain usable until its expiry, and you may redeem accumulated Landmark reward points until 28 February 2021. Please note that reward points for card spends and related cashbacks will be discontinued after 29 February 2020. For any queries about your reward points, you may contact feedback [at] landmarkrewards.in or call 1800 208 2444. We value your relationship with Standard Chartered and remain committed to delivering banking services tailored to your needs.
To continue serving you, we will issue a Standard Chartered DigiSmart credit card. As a service gesture, the monthly usage fee of ₹49 will be waived for the first 12 months for eligible customers. If you do not wish to receive this card or prefer a different variant, please contact our Phone Banking team or write to card.services [at] sc.com.
The Standard Chartered DigiSmart credit card offers benefits across shopping, travel, cab rides and more.
Your new Digismart credit card will be mailed to your registered address within 120 days of this communication. To update your mailing address, please call Phone Banking or visit your nearest branch.
Any transaction or PIN generation activity on your DigiSmart credit card will be considered acceptance of the new card. Your credit limit and card terms will remain unchanged.

Should You take DigiSmart Credit Card?
The natural question for Landmark cardholders is whether to accept the Digismart card or choose another Standard Chartered product.
Digismart is positioned as a simple, no-rewards credit card. It does not earn traditional reward points on spends, but provides direct discounts and partner offers that can be attractive for everyday users.
Notable benefits include discounts such as 20% off on select domestic flights, 25% off on certain domestic hotels, and up to 15% off on Ola rides. These offers typically have caps and terms, but they represent useful savings for a card in this fee segment.
Since the card is being issued without the first-year fee, accepting Digismart is a reasonable option for many current Landmark cardholders who want a low-cost card with straightforward discounts rather than points accumulation.
Bottomline
Standard Chartered’s move to migrate Landmark cardholders to Digismart and waive the fee for the first year is customer-friendly. For those who value simple discounts and a free first year, Digismart is worth considering. If you prefer a card that earns reward points or offers a different mix of benefits, contact Standard Chartered to explore alternative card variants.
