Chennai Airport now uses two terminals for domestic departures. Terminal 4 (T4) handles Air India and Vistara flights (likely the entire Air India group), while Terminal 1 (T1) serves other carriers. I recently flew Vistara from T4 and visited the TFS Travel Club Lounge, the only lounge currently open in this terminal. Below is a concise review of the lounge and what to expect.

Overview
| Type | Premium Airport Lounge |
| Card accepted | Most cards & business-class passengers (eligibility and spend requirements may apply) |
| Location | Take a left after security and follow the signs |
| Plug points | Yes |
| Ambiance | Good interiors and spacious |
| Food options | Good, typically South Indian |
The TFS Travel Club Lounge in T4 compares well with the TFS lounge in T1 and feels even more spacious. Historically this space served international departures when T4 handled international flights, which contributes to its roomy layout and finishes.
Check-in
I accessed the lounge with a Vistara business-class boarding pass. The lounge also accepts most premium cards, but entry can depend on eligibility and sometimes on a minimum spend requirement tied to the card benefit.
Seating & interiors
The lounge features modern interiors and a variety of seating arrangements spread across the space. The layout is generally divided into three main sections:
- Upon entry you find comfortable lounge seating arranged in clusters for relaxation.
- A dedicated dining area sits closer to the buffet for those looking to eat.
- A quieter business-class section is located on the right side of the lounge, usually less crowded and more peaceful.
Business Class Section
The lounge includes a small business-class area. It offers similar furnishings to the rest of the lounge but tends to remain less busy, especially during peak travel times, making it a better choice if you prefer a quieter spot to relax or work.
Food & Service
The food spread is decent and comparable to other domestic lounges at Chennai Airport. Expect familiar South Indian options alongside other light meals and snacks. Service was attentive and the buffet was kept reasonably stocked during my visit.
A highlight for many travellers is the South Indian filter coffee, served in this lounge much like other Chennai lounges. If you enjoy strong, aromatic filter coffee, you’ll likely appreciate this offering.
Bottomline
- Cardexpert Rating: 4.8/5
Overall, the TFS Travel Club Lounge in T4 is a pleasant place to spend time before a domestic flight from Chennai. The spacious layout and varied seating make it comfortable for both relaxation and light work. During my visit occupancy felt around half full, with many guests in the dining area.
With this lounge, Chennai Airport now offers four domestic lounges across T1 and T4: one in T4 and three in T1, including a recently opened Priority Pass–only option. Each lounge varies slightly in size and offerings, but the T4 Travel Club provides a reliable, comfortable experience for eligible passengers.
If you’ve visited the Travel Club lounge recently, feel free to share your experience in the comments.
