SBI SimplyCLICK Credit Card: Ideal for Online Shopping

  • Please refer to the latest updated review here: SBI SimplyClick Credit Card Review

First impressions matter. Even if a credit card is high-end, its look and finish influence how it feels in your hand. SBI cards have always impressed me in this regard — both the card I previously had and the one I currently use look and feel well-made, with a clean and professional finish.

Sbi Simplyclick Credit Card

My first SBI card was the SBI SimplySAVE, which offered 10x rewards on dining and grocery spends. My spending in those categories was never high enough to accumulate many points, so I considered applying for another card. I learned from customer care that SBI generally allows only one primary card per person; additional cards tend to be co-branded options such as the Air India Signature or Air India Platinum. While browsing the SBI card catalogue, I discovered the SimplyCLICK card, which launched shortly after my SimplySAVE approval.

  • Annual Fee: Rs.499 + ST
  • Welcome Gift: Rs.500 Amazon Voucher
  • Renewal Fee: Rs.499 + ST (waived on Rs.100,000 annual spend)

SimplyCLICK is available in Visa Platinum and Mastercard Titanium variants (information varies online). Both variants are international and carry a cross-currency markup of 3.5%.

BookMyShow Offer: Rs.100 instant cashback on the first movie ticket booked via the BookMyShow mobile app for first-time users.

Cleartrip Offer:
Rs.700 instant cashback on domestic roundtrip flights worth Rs.5,000 or more booked via the Cleartrip mobile app.
Rs.500 instant cashback on domestic roundtrip flights worth Rs.5,000 or more booked via the Cleartrip website.

Zoomcar Offer:
Rs.600 off on self-drive Zoomcar bookings worth Rs.2,500 or more when paid with the SimplyCLICK SBI Card. (Terms and conditions apply as listed by SBI Card.)

SBI SimplyCLICK Credit Card Reward Points:

SimplyCLICK offers accelerated rewards for online and partner spends. Key earning features include:

  • 10x rewards on select partner spends per Rs.100 (partners include Amazon, BookMyShow, Cleartrip, Foodpanda, FabFurnish, Lenskart, Ola, Zoomcar)
  • 5x rewards on other online spends per Rs.100
  • 1 reward point on all other spends per Rs.100

The card also includes milestone benefits: for every cumulative spend of Rs.100,000 (up to Rs.200,000), you receive a Rs.2,000 gift voucher from an SBI Card partner selected by SBI.

I applied to replace my existing card and, after a few attempts, my SimplyCLICK application was approved. Early partner offers included incentives like loading Rs.150 into the Ola Money wallet and receiving an extra Rs.150 in the wallet among other partner promotions.

This card is particularly valuable for frequent online shoppers, especially Amazon users, because of the high reward rates on partner sites.

SimplyCLICK Reward Points Redemption:

Redemption options include gift vouchers and partner offers. As an example, if you spend Rs.20,000 on Amazon and earn 2,000 reward points, you can redeem those points for a Rs.500 Amazon gift voucher through the SBI rewards catalogue. That redemption equates to 2.5% value (Rs.500 / Rs.20,000).

For reference: a Rs.1,000 Amazon gift voucher costs around 5,700 points, which values each reward point at approximately 0.175 INR (17.5 paise).

Redemption for gift vouchers via the SBI rewards portal typically takes 2–3 working days to process.

Sbi Reward Point Redemption

Compared to other cards such as the HDFC Moneyback card, which provides roughly 0.8% returns on online spends (about Rs.1.20 on Rs.150), SimplyCLICK delivers better value:

  • Approximately 1.25% returns on regular online spends
  • Approximately 2.5% returns on partner site spends

With Amazon’s expanding marketplace and product selection, the SimplyCLICK card can deliver meaningful rewards for frequent online shoppers.

Pro Tip: If you frequently make purchases with odd amounts on Amazon, consider buying Amazon gift vouchers in round figures and loading them to your account. Reward points are typically credited for loading the gift card amount, helping you avoid losing fractional rewards on odd-value purchases.

Approval for this card tends to be easier for applicants living in metro areas who already hold at least one credit card.
