These partnerships are often less compelling than the earlier American Express transfer option and typically make sense mainly when Vistara offers a 50%–100% bonus on transferring credit card reward points. Bottomline
This is a compelling promotion: a 50% bonus on CV points can significantly increase the value you extract from your credit card rewards. I conservatively value CV points at about Rs.0.75 each. With a 50% bonus, that value rises—often reaching Rs.1.10 and sometimes around Rs.1.50 per point, depending on redemption choice.
The boost is especially valuable if you earned points through accelerated-earn promotions, such as the 10x offers on certain Diners cards. For example, points earned via Diners Black during a 10x earnings period can translate into much higher effective returns—illustratively moving a return on spend from roughly 33% to around 49.5%. Other Diners variants, like Diners Club Miles, can also deliver strong outcomes when combined with this bonus.
However, these figures matter only when you actually redeem the points for travel or upgrades and realize the expected value. Note that the promotion excludes some premium cards—HDFC Infinia, for instance, is not eligible for this bonus.
