Plaza Premium Lounge Transit Hotel is located a short walk from the arrivals baggage counters. As a transit facility, entry is granted only to passengers with a connecting flight from the airport. I arrived from Mumbai and had about a five-hour layover before my onward flight to Chennai, which gave me enough time to visit the lounge.

My Experience at Plaza Premium Lounge Transit Hotel at Hyderabad
The front desk verified our past and upcoming flight details before allowing entry. I accessed the lounge through a Diners card and my friend used Priority Pass. The staff member at reception seemed curt and perhaps had a rough day; her demeanor felt unwelcoming.
The facility functions as both a transit hotel and a lounge. Rooms and shower facilities are available for a fee, while card-based access covers the lounge area only. There is a small bar area nearby, but it appeared empty during my visit.
Inside, the lounge follows a dark theme. Aside from a decorative Buddha statue, the initial impression lacked energy and vibrancy. The charging points were inconveniently placed under the tables, requiring you to reach down or ask staff for help to plug in devices. Fortunately one staff member assisted me promptly.

Food at Hyderabad Airport Transit Hotel
The menu offered a limited selection such as biryani and sandwiches. I ordered a sandwich, which arrived cold after about 15 minutes and lacked flavor; I left two of the four pieces uneaten. The chips served alongside were enjoyable, however.

Facilities at Plaza Premium Lounge Transit Hotel
- CardExpert Lounge Rating: 3/5
- Wi‑Fi: Available with decent speed.
- Food: Limited snack options; quality varies.
- Ambiance: Dark-themed and calm, but could feel lifeless.
- Charging stations: Present, but poorly positioned under tables.
- Complimentary access on: Priority Pass and Diners Club credit cards (card verification required).
Overall, the lounge fell short of my expectations and felt below the usual standards I’ve seen at other Plaza Premium locations. I previously visited the Plaza Premium lounge at Bangalore airport and found it notably better maintained and more welcoming. Improvements such as brighter lighting and more accessible charging outlets would enhance the space considerably.
