Apple’s 10th anniversary smartphone, iPhone X, is receiving a substantial price cut during Amazon’s Summer Sale running from May 4th to May 7th. The iPhone X, which carries an official price of Rs 91,990, is now listed at just Rs 69,999 for the 64GB model.
On top of the reduced price, HDFC credit cardholders can earn extra value through reward programs. Using select HDFC cards can significantly increase savings: cardholders eligible for 10X reward points—such as HDFC Diners Black or HDFC Infinia—can effectively push savings up to around 33%, bringing the effective cost down to approximately Rs 46,900. That represents a strong discount for a phone that originally sits in the premium segment.
Holders of other HDFC cards like HDFC Regalia or HDFC Diners Club Miles can still benefit, typically seeing around a 10% additional saving on the purchase when the card-linked offers apply.
If the iPhone X still feels beyond your budget, consider the iPhone XR. With similar card offers on Amazon you can find the XR for around Rs 39,500, and on Flipkart comparable discounts combined with HDFC card benefits can lower the price to roughly Rs 36,000. Each option depends on current listings and eligible card promotions.
Personally, the XR is not my preferred choice when you can choose between the iPhone X, XS, and XS Max, which offer different feature sets and form factors to suit varying needs.
Bottomline
Deals like these appear frequently during large sales. They can make high-end phones far more affordable if you time purchases and use the right card offers. For example, similar promotions allowed me to buy an earlier iPhone model at a steep discount in the past. Currently I’m waiting for a deal on the iPhone XS Max, so I’m sticking with my current phone until the right offer appears.
