BookMyShow Offer: Visa Signature & Infinite Card Movie Deals

I’ve regularly used the Buy 1 Get 1 offers on ICICI credit cards for years and seldom faced quota issues with my ICICI Jet Sapphiro Amex Credit Card. Recently, while browsing BookMyShow offers, I discovered that food combos were available at 50% off for Visa Infinite cardholders.

That prompted me to try my Axis Vistara Infinite credit card. The current BookMyShow offers for Visa Signature and Visa Infinite are similar. Below are the details.

My Experience

I booked “Mission: Impossible – Fallout (IMAX)” plus a large popcorn and two regular Cokes at Phoenix Marketcity, Chennai for about 600 INR instead of roughly 1,100 INR.

That was an immediate saving of 500 INR from the Visa offer. Additionally, the food combo already had a 25% discount, saving another 130 INR.

  • Total Savings: 630 INR

This was likely my first time ordering a food combo online with movie tickets, and I hadn’t realized it could be cheaper to book snacks this way. Have you noticed the same?

Pro tip: Add-on cards are considered separately, so you can use this benefit on each add-on card as well. For example, 1 primary + 2 add-ons = 3 transactions per month, meaning 3 redemptions. Note: this does not apply to HDFC add-on cards if they share the same numbers.

Bottomline

Visa and Mastercard face growing competition from RuPay and UPI in India. Rapid UPI adoption reduces transaction revenue for card networks, so card providers are offering attractive discounts and partnerships to remain competitive.

For now, these offers make card usage more rewarding, so it’s a good time to take advantage of them while they last.

I’ve missed this food-combo benefit for a while—have you been using these offers? Share your experiences in the comments below.
